Walderlebniszentrum Ziegelwies

The tree top walk of the "Walderlebniszentrum" (forest adventure center) is the only one where you can cross the border between Germany and Austria. It offers an marvellous view to the mountains and the river Lech.
The highest pillar is 21 meters. The tree top walk has a length of 480 meters and is hold by only four pillars. It is possible to walk the bridge from both sides. It was built in an old power line trail. Because of this it wasn´t necessary to cut so many trees.
The entrance is free for people under 16 years. At the age of 16 years it costs 4 € per person. We also offer group discounts by a minimum of 10 persons, then the costs are 3 € per person.
But the tree top walk is not the only thing the forest adventure center offers.
It also contains two trails, an exhibition and a snack bar.
One of the trails is the "Auwaldpfad" (river forest trail) which is 1,5 kilometers long. To explore this path you need about 2 hours. Here you can cross the river in many different ways.
The other trail is the "Bergwaldpfad" (mountain forest trail). It has a length of 1,7 kilometers and to walk through it you need about 2,5 hours. You can learn about the different animals and trees and about the protective function of the mountain forest.
When you explore our exhibition you can expand your knowledge about bees or learn something about sustainability.
And when you get hungry you can eat something in our snack bar.
