When the doors of the "Augsburger Puppenkiste" open, hearts beat higher today. Since October 2001 all the famous puppets of the "Augsburger Puppenkiste" are to be admired in their "natural environment" in the museum "die Kiste": tomcat Mikesch, Urmel, Jim Knopf, Lukas the locomotive driver, Kalle Wirsch, the cat with hat and countless others of the legendary "Stars on threads".
